Skype Showing Newfound Acceptance for Business Use

70% of panelists who used Skype in the last six months found the VoIP service acceptable for business calls.

"While these results may be astounding to some, they are a strong indication that Skype is routinely delivering excellent VoIP service and helping to drive acceptance of VoIP in the business community," said Andy Nilssen, Senior Analyst and Partner, Wainhouse Research. "While we're not likely to see enterprises adopt Skype per se, Skype will lead to VoIP adoption among both enterprise and small-medium business markets sooner rather than later."

Hi Saul,

My name is Shan Wickramasinghe and I’m a Masters student at the Annenberg School for Communication at the University of Southern California.

First of all, I wanted to say that I enjoy reading the blog!! I also enjoy the photo links to flickr.

I’d like to just keep this message brief. In one sentence, I am trying to briefly look at the competitive playing field in the US residential market for VoIP and am ideally trying to focus on a few differentiated providers including Vonage, AT&T’s CallVantage Service and Skype. This research is being conducted for a research paper I am writing on VoIP. I was wondering whether you'd be willing to be briefly interviewed. My research could clearly benefit from your insights with regard to VoIP.

I do hope that you will be able to accommodate a phone interview. I realize that Thanksgiving is fast approaching but would ideally like to schedule an interview for early next week.

I would be more than happy to forward over my 9 questions.

I do sincerely hope to hear from you!!!

Regards,
Shan Wickramasinghe

I was not sure to expect when I came across your blog. Well I think the information on this blog is terrific. I have my own blog site and I wish I got half as many great comments as your blog does. Anyways, I am a teacher at a middle school and I am always doing research on various topics. This weeks topic relates 90% to your blog. I already bookmarked you for future use. If you want to exchange information I will leave my url at the bottom of this. If you don?t mind I will add my 2 cents to this blog topic once in awhile. Although most of the time I just like to read and see what other people?s thoughts are! (hey I am a teacher!)
Thanks again!australian phone service voip.
